Pirated Code Endings Guide

Want to make sure you get the good ending? Or maybe you're hunting for all the bad ends... Either way, I've got you covered!

Here's a walkthrough detailing how to get all endings and special scenes in the game.

Throughout the story, there are 7 opportunities to raise Seren's trust in Dex.  You'll need varying levels of trust to trigger different endings and scenes.

Good End

You need a total of 6 or more trust to get the good end, but getting all 7 points will trigger two special scenes. To get this end, choose these options.

  • "I don't trust him." [trust +1]
  • "Help Dex out." [trust +1]
  • "You don't need to praise me." [trust +1]
  • "Fine." [trust +1]

[Save here for Bad End 1]

  • "What will happen to Dex?"
  • "Tell him." [trust +1]
  • "I want to help." [trust +1]
  • "I understand." [trust +1]

If you've made all the right choices up to this point, a special scene will trigger between Seren and the operator when he visits the ship.

[Save here for Bad Ends 3 and 4.2]

  • "I don't want to know."
  • "Ignore them."
  • "Trust Dex."
  • "It mattered to me."
  • The final choice decides if Seren views their relationship with Dex as either platonic or romantic. This only affects a few lines of dialogue, so pick whichever you prefer!

And that's it! This will unlock the after credits scene.

Neutral End

In order to get the neutral end, your trust needs to be at either 3 or 4. To get this end, choose these options.

  • "I don't trust him." [trust +1]
  • "Help Dex out." [trust +1]
  • "You don't need to praise me." [trust +1]
  • "I don't have a choice."

[Save here for Bad End 1]

  • "What will happen to Dex?"
  • "Don't tell him"
  • "I want answers."
  • "I'm fine alone."

Note: If you've been following the guide so far, your trust will be at 3. This means the operator will not stay the night at the ship. If you want him to stay, you need 4 points. In that case, choose "I understand." instead of "I'm fine alone."

[Save here for Bad Ends 3 and 4.1]

  • "I don't want to know."
  • "Ignore them."
  • "Trust Dex."
  • "It mattered to me."

There you have it, you've triggered the neutral end!

Bad Ends

Technically, there are six bad ends in the game. However, bad ends 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 are essentially the same, with only slightly different dialogue.

Bad End 1: Stranger

Load your save from either the Good End, Neutral End, or Bad End 2 walkthroughs.

When the stranger appears for the first time, choose "My  coordinates are-".

Bad End 2: Too Late

To trigger this bad end, your trust needs to be below 3. This guide will be getting a total of 0 points, because hey, you're already here- You might as well be as mean as possible.

To get this end, choose these options.

  • "I don't trust either of you."
  • "Turn Dex in."
  • "Don't patronize me."
  • "I don't have a choice."

[Save here for Bad End 1]

  • "What will happen to Dex?"
  • "Don't tell him"
  • "I want answers."
  • "I'm fine alone."

[Save here for Bad Ends 3 and 4.0]

  • "I don't want to know."

And that's that! You've triggered Bad End 2.

Bad End 3: Failure

Load up your Bad End 3 save from either the Good End or Neutral End walkthroughs. To trigger this bad end, you can choose any of these options:

  • "Is that true...?"
  • "Check on Dex."
  • "Your right..."

Congrats, you succeeded in failing!

Bad Ends 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2: Betrayal

Load up your 4.x save file from either the Good End, Neutral End, or Bad End 2 walkthroughs.

Then choose:

  • "I want to know."

There you go! Seren will finally get their answers... but will you?
