Part 3 Progress - October 14th

My "To Do" list is getting pretty short now! These past few weeks I've  been working through the various art assets I need to finish the game up, and then I'll be looking into possibly getting a proofreader.

This week, I figured I'd share some screenshots from part 3.

First off- In flashbacks, Jay has two very different conversations at the same cafe.

Meanwhile, on Wren's route- rookie officer wren gets uncharacteristically testy, and we see the rest of his late night conversation with Fletcher.

Back in the present, Jay finds himself locked inside a closet-

-and Wren finds himself in a dangerous situation.

Parts 1 & 2 both had a 'game' for Robin to play, and part 3 is no different. Fletcher is quickly getting to the heart of the matter. Can Robin outwit him and keep herself safe?

Part 3 actually has two such games, but I won't be showing the last one off.

I'm not sure if I said before, but with part 3, the total word count for the game is a bit over 52K! That's around 5 hours total.

Lastly, here's some doodles of Jay I did recently! My style has changed a lot since I made part 1 in March, and it's finally starting to reflect how much of a pretty boy I intended him to be.

I've said it before, but I'm not completely happy with Jay's sprite. Honestly, I'd like to redo all the sprites, but that wouldn't be very productive... Sometimes, it's best to leave well enough alone and move on.

(Maybe in a different game, though...)

I'm SO excited for the update, and these sneak peaks have piqued my interest even more.

Re Jay, I agree that sometimes you have to let things go (because then it's a never-ending cycle...). That said, it's super cool and impressive to see how your art style has changed and improved in just 6 months.

Thank you! It's a little frustrating seeing the inconsistency between my old and new work, and I'm really fighting myself to not go back and update things xD

Maybe after the game is done...
